As you may already know, diabetes disproportionately affects Blacks and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups who often experience higher rates of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes and diabetes-related complications. This is largely due to factors such as; genetic predispositions, lifestyle factors, socio-economic barriers and access to healthcare.
